Product Specification
Fibre Composition Polytherm and Ecotherm are extruded
polyester fibres, with inherent self extinguishing
properties and which are made to the highest specifications.
Thermal Conductivity The thermal conductivity of Polytherm and Ecotherm is 0.0.57Wm°C
when tested in accordance with ISO 8301 at a mean temperature of 23°C.
Odor Free Polytherm and Ecotherm has been tested to ASTM C1304 and has been found not to have
any objectionable odor.
Dimensional Stability & Operational Temperature Polytherm and Ecotherm will not shrink and are dimensionally stable in the
temperature range of -30°C to the density of Polytherm and Ecotherm 130°C.
The moisture content of Polytherm and environment became damp. This is Ecotherm after exposure to high confirmed by the testing in humidity at elevated temperature
(105°C accordance with ASTM C665 and 90% R.H.), in less than 0.2% by mass as is
required by draft SANS 1381 - 1:2005 method 6.8. This test indicates that Polytherm and
Ecotherm will not cause damp problems when installed over ceilings.
