Product Description
Isoboard is a rigid, high density, extruded polystyrene, manufactured in different thicknesses and lengths to meet almost any thermal insulation requirement in the temperature range -30 to +60°C.

Specification for over purlin application
IsoBoard high density 32-36kg/m³ rigid extruded polystyrene 100% closed cell insulation board of ___mm thickness and 600mm wide, with tongue and groove joints, fixed concurrently with roof covering, over steel purlins at approximately ___mm centres, with 5mm gap between boards butt-joined on top of purlins.
Specification for over rafter application
IsoBoard high density 32-36kg/m³ rigid extruded polystyrene 100% closed cell insulation board of ___mm thickness and 600mm width with IsoPine / edge bevelled finish laid horizontally over trusses and secured with timberfix screws through purlins / battens. Purlin / Batten dimensions ___mm x ___mm fixed at ___mm on truss spacings of ___mm.
Specification for inverted roof application
IsoBoard high density 32-36kg/m³ rigid extruded polystyrene 100% closed cell insulation board of ___mm thickness and 600mm width with shiplap joint all round laid tightly butted on waterproofing membrane (elsewhere).
Specification for application in nail up ceiling
IsoBoard high density 32-36kg/m³ rigid extruded polystyrene 100% closed cell insulation board of ___mm thickness and 600mm width with IsoPine / edge bevelled finish, tack-fixed with recommended adhesive at 200mm intervals to timber/steel brandering installed at maximum 700mm centres transversely to trusses, and edge-fixed with concealed ceiling clips screwed / pop-riveted to timber / steel brandering. Boards to be secured to perimeter brandering with drywall screws and washers at 300mm centres.
Specification for application under soffit
IsoBoard high density 32-36kg/m³ rigid extruded polystyrene 100% closed cell insulation board of ___mm thickness and 600mm width, fixed using washers and plastic plugs at 300mm centres through pre-drilled holes to underside of smooth concrete soffit (fixed to levelling brandering if required)
Specification for application in cavity wall
IsoBoard high density 32-36kg/m³ rigid extruded polystyrene 100% closed cell insulation board of ___mm thickness and 600mm width with tongue and groove / butt-ended joints fixed to inner skin of block cavity wall such as to shed moisture. Galvanized mild steel ties size ___mm with fish tailed ends built into horizontal joints in wall at maximum 300mm centres along top and bottom edges, including neatly notching board edges around wall ties, window and door frames. Alternate ties are used to secure boards to the inner leaf.

- Residential applications:IsoBoard high density 32-36kg/m³ rigid extruded polystyrene 100% closed cell insulation board of 30mm thickness and 600mm width with tongue and groove joints laid on plastic sheeting (elsewhere) under reinforced concrete beds.
- Perimeter Insulation:IsoBoard high density 32-36kg/m³ rigid extruded polystyrene 100% closed cell insulation board of 30mm thickness and 600mm width installed upright against outer foundation wall to depth of 600mm secured with soil ballast.
- Above slab, below screed Insulation:IsoBoard high density 32-36kg/m³ rigid extruded polystyrene 100% closed cell insulation board of ___mm thickness and 600mm width installed above floor slab below reinforced screed not less than 60mm thick.
